Tai Ji Quan: Moving for Better Balance - Advanced
Description: A group based exercise class designed to help older adults improve balance and reduce the likelihood of falling through the use of slow coordinated movements. Participants learn balance skills, body alignment, muscle strength, flexibility and mobility. Movements are combined with breathing and focused attention to help engage both body and mind. The class is suitable for people with a history of falls, balance disorders, leg muscle weakness, and walking difficulty. It is also beneficial for older adults regardless of fall history.
Schedule Description: Mondays and Wednesdays, 2:00-3:00pm, March 14-June 6 *this class with start on a Wednesday
Hosting Organization: Olmsted Medical Center
Additional Information: Participants must have completed the beginner Tai Ji Quan class, before joining.
